Each year we work very hard as a committee to plan and organise a full programme of events and activities that offers everyone a chance to enjoy a weekend in our lovely village of Marchington. This includes activities for the kids, classic cars & military vehicle show, fun sporting events, musical entertainment, daft dog show and scarecrow competitions, Open Gardens, as well as exhibitions, markets and activities throughout the village – in the church, village hall, at the tennis courts, the cricket ground, as well as on the playing fields. We believe we might also be one of the only village festivals to offer a free minibus around the village too.

This is all achieved thanks to the great efforts of our committee who fund raise during the year to host free activities during festival weekend. From carol singing in December, braving the brook for the Easter Duck Run and collating prizes for raffles and tombolas, we are grateful to everyone who supports us by buying tickets, ducks and giving donations. The weekend wouldn’t be viable without the support of our fantastic local sponsors whose sponsorship enables us to cover the costs. 

We’re looking forward to bringing the community together once again for a fun summer weekend and we’re already keeping our fingers crossed for some fine weather.
